This legendary trek combines breathtaking mountain scenery, deep Sherpa culture, ancient monasteries, and dramatic high-altitude landscapes.

The trail follows historic trading routes through vibrant villages such as Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and Lobuche. Along the way, you are rewarded with close-up views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other towering Himalayan giants.

A highlight of the trek is reaching Everest Base Camp itself, where climbers prepare for their summit attempts. The journey is crowned with an early morning hike to Kala Patthar, the best viewpoint for panoramic views of Mount Everest and the surrounding peaks. This trek is physically demanding but deeply rewarding, offering a true sense of achievement and connection with the Himalayas.

Itinerary ^

Day 1 – Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you are transferred to your hotel. The day is free to rest or explore the city’s historic streets and cultural landmarks.

Day 2 – Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding (2,610m)

A scenic mountain flight takes you to Lukla, the gateway to Everest. From here, the trek begins with a gentle walk along the Dudh Koshi River to the village of Phakding.

Day 3 – Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)

The trail crosses suspension bridges and passes through pine forests before ascending to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital and main trading hub of the region.

Day 4 – Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar

A rest day to allow your body to adapt to the altitude. Optional hikes to the Everest View Hotel or nearby villages offer stunning mountain views while aiding acclimatization.

Day 5 – Trek to Tengboche / Deboche (4,200m)

The trek continues through rhododendron forests and open ridges, leading to Tengboche, home to the region’s most famous monastery, set against a spectacular mountain backdrop.

Day 6 – Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4,470m)

The landscape becomes more alpine as you walk through open valleys and stone-walled fields, arriving at the peaceful village of Dingboche.

Day 7 – Acclimatization Day in Dingboche

A second acclimatization day includes a hike to nearby viewpoints, offering impressive views of Ama Dablam and surrounding peaks while helping your body adjust further.

Day 8 – Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4,700m)

The trail gradually climbs past memorials dedicated to fallen climbers, with increasingly dramatic mountain scenery as you approach Lobuche.

Day 9 – Trek to Gorak Shep, Visit Everest Base Camp & Return

You trek to Gorak Shep before continuing to Everest Base Camp itself. After spending time at base camp, you return to Gorak Shep for the night.

Day 10 – Kala Patthar Sunrise & Trek to Pheriche (4,910m)

An early morning hike to Kala Patthar offers breathtaking sunrise views of Mount Everest. You then descend to the village of Pheriche.

Day 11 – Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar

The return journey retraces your steps through familiar villages, gradually descending to the lively atmosphere of Namche Bazaar.

Day 12 – Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla

Your final trekking day takes you back to Lukla, where you celebrate the successful completion of your Everest adventure.

Day 13 – Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu

A scenic flight returns you to Kathmandu. The rest of the day is free for shopping, sightseeing, or relaxation.

Day 14 – Final Departure

Your journey concludes as you depart Kathmandu, carrying lifelong memories of the Everest region.
