The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a classic Himalayan journey that leads you into the heart of the Annapurna Sanctuary, surrounded by some of the most iconic mountains in Nepal. This trek offers a perfect balance of scenic beauty, cultural encounters, and comfortable trekking conditions, making it ideal for both first-time and experienced trekkers.
The trail passes through charming Gurung villages, terraced farmlands, lush forests of rhododendron and bamboo, and deep river valleys. As you move higher, the landscape opens into a dramatic alpine amphitheater dominated by Annapurna I, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, and Annapurna South.
Reaching Annapurna Base Camp is a truly special moment—standing among towering Himalayan giants in a peaceful, snow-covered sanctuary is an experience that stays with you long after the trek ends.
You arrive in Kathmandu and are transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax or explore the vibrant streets, cultural sites, and local cuisine of Nepal’s capital.
A scenic drive takes you along rivers and rolling hills to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city beneath the Annapurna range. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful walk by Phewa Lake.
After a short drive to Ghandruk, the trek begins through traditional villages and terraced fields. The trail descends and climbs gently to reach Chhomrong, offering stunning views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.
The path follows the Modi Khola river, passing through bamboo forests and small settlements. The scenery gradually becomes more alpine as you approach the quiet village of Himalaya.
Today’s trek takes you deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary. Surrounded by soaring peaks, you arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp, where the mountain views become truly dramatic.
An early morning walk brings you to Annapurna Base Camp, where sunrise paints the surrounding peaks in golden light. After spending time enjoying the views, you descend to Deurali for the night.
Descending through forests and river valleys, you reach Jhinu Danda, famous for its natural hot springs. A relaxing soak is the perfect reward after days on the trail.
A short trek leads to Siwai, where you board a vehicle back to Pokhara. The afternoon is free to relax, explore the city, or enjoy lakeside dining.
